Pinjam Dulu Seratus is a catchphrase that translates to "lend me a hundred" in English. It is often used in Indonesia as a way to ask for money of around 100,000 Rupiah (less than $10 USD). Online, the phrase gained virality as a way to make fun of people who get lent money but don't return it, commonly appearing in various image macro memes.

In early 2023, an unknown user created a sticker on WhatsApp by using a scene from Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) in which the character Caesar tells William Rodman (played by James Franco) that he's already at home, recaptioning the image "Pinjam dulu seratus." On March 2nd, 2023, Facebook user Riztol Rizqi Kont uploaded the image to Jurayz Cruise's post in the "Dokumen Asli Upgrade 8TB : Not for Sale" Facebook group (shown below) discussing where the scene came from.

Both the image and catchphrase became prominent ways to mock people who seem to appear only when they want someone to lend them money. For example, on March 9th, 2023, the Facebook page "Dr bpk prof heerp suheerp" uploaded an "Artinya Apa Bang Messi" webcomic about someone who meets his old friend who only wants money. The post received more than 21,000 reactions and 2,800 shares in roughly three months (shown below, left). On March 15th, the Facebook page "Status Lucu" uploaded a webcomic using a SpongeBob SquarePants scene about SpongeBob wanting money from another character. The post received more than 36,000 reactions and 3,000 shares in a similar timeframe (shown below, right).

On March 3rd, 2023, Facebook user Greko uploaded a redraw based on the scene showing Ryo Yamada from Bocchi the Rock! asking Bocchi to lend her money. The post received 188 reactions and 126 shares in roughly three months (shown below, left). On March 15th, Facebook user Karya Orange uploaded a similar redraw and received 532 reactions and 947 shares in a similar timeframe (shown below, right).

On April 9th, 2023, an unknown Facebook user renamed a group "Pinjam Seratus dulu" (previously named "Komunitas Mental Helat"). In the group, people tell experiences of when they were asked to lend money to their family, friends, etc., referencing the catchphrase.
